Congress Votes to Approve Korea-U.S. Free Trade Agreement

Hyundai and Hyundai dealers in the U.S. will benefit  from the recently approved United States – Korea Free Trade Agreement (KORUS FTA), which was passed by Congress yesterday.  This will bring tariff reductions and was truly a monumental day in Washington.  Now that Congress has approved this bill,  President Obama is expected to sign the bill into law as early as today, October 13.  Korean lawmakers must also approve the agreement, and if both sides pass the law, free trade with the Republic of Korea is scheduled to be implemented as early as 2012.  The agreement calls for an immediate removal of the U.S. tariff on all auto parts, removal of the U.S. 2.5% passenger vehicle tariff in five years, and removal of the U.S. 25% truck tariff in ten years. Hyundai Begins Season Long College Football Campaign

Who is ready for some FOOTBALL?  Hyundai Motor America is tapping into the passion of college football fans this year with a season long marketing campaign across ABC’s family of networks including ESPN and ESPN2.  The overall program includes 64 on-site displays at some of this year’s most anticipated match-ups, print, local media and online support, and on-air advertising during 13 featured games.  Hyundai’s multi-faceted college football advertising program is designed to connect the loyalty of Hyundai owners with the passion of college football fans and traditions of sports teams across the country.   Read more

Hyundai Gives Hope On Wheels

If you walk into your local Hyundai dealership today, you might notice a different type of campaign around the store called “Hope on Wheels,” which is a united effort including Hyundai dealers from around the country, who are joining together to raise awareness about childhood cancer, and to celebrate the lives of those who battle the disease.  This program has seen great success in the past, including over $2 million in donations during the 2010 campaign given to 44 children’s hospitals across the country to support training and research for the doctors involved in childhood cancer research.
